Our preschool program centers around Kindergarten prep as we focus on getting children ready for Junior Kindergarten. We provide a stimulating environment for children to learn and explore, and we integrate numeracy and literacy into our activities. The preschoolers participate in a mixture of large and small group experiences both indoors and outdoors, weekly learning topics, music and movement, and of course free play; our curriculum addresses a full range of social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the preschool child.
There is a greater focus on independence and responsibility in the preschool rooms. We foster responsibility as the children care for their own organic gardens – planting, nurturing, harvesting, and ultimately eating the fresh produce they have grown. We have regular enrichment through field trips and special guests celebrating the different fields of dance, music, art, movement, and sports.
The Preschool Educators have a positive relationship with families, and regularly communicate about programming, children’s needs, and any other important information.
